Role Summary
As a Year 5 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support learning across the classroom, deliver targeted interventions and provide individual support where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning within Year 5 classes.
- Deliver small group interventions to reinforce learning and build confidence.
- Provide one-to-one support for pupils who require additional assistance.
- Prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materials.
- Encourage positive behaviour, engagement and participation.
- Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
- Monitor pupil progress and share observations with teaching staff.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
Candidate Requirements

- Have previous experience working in a primary school, educational setting or with children.

Pay and Progression
The daily rate for this position starts at £98 per day and increases to £124 per day after 12 working weeks, subject to relevant agency worker regulations.
Candidates with previous school-based experience, relevant qualifications, SEND experience, intervention delivery experience or a proven track record supporting pupil progress may be considered for opportunities at the higher pay rate where applicable.
