Role Summary

As an Early Years Educator within the Baby Room, you will work closely with colleagues to provide outstanding care and learning opportunities for babies, ensuring they feel safe, engaged and supported throughout the day.
You will contribute to creating a positive environment where children can explore, discover and develop through meaningful play experiences and nurturing adult interactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support babies' individual care, learning and development needs.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents and carers.
  • Plan and support engaging play-based learning opportunities.
  • Complete observations and contribute to children's developmental records.
  • Promote communication, physical, social and emotional development.
  • Support children's routines, including feeding, sleep and personal care where required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies at all times.
  • Contribute to maintaining high standards of care and education across the setting.
  • Celebrate children's achievements and developmental milestones.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should:
  • Have previous experience working with babies or young children within an Early Years setting.
  • Hold a relevant Early Years qualification.
  • Have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Be confident supporting children's development through play-based learning.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Be patient, reliable and committed to providing high-quality care and education.
  • Be able to build positive and professional relationships with children, families and colleagues.

Pay and Progression

This role offers a pay rate of £18.04 per hour.
Candidates holding a Level 3 Early Years qualification or above, with significant Baby Room experience, a strong understanding of EYFS requirements, experience completing observations and assessments, and the ability to contribute positively to children's learning and development, may be considered for opportunities available at the highest advertised pay rate.
Pay will be discussed based on qualifications, relevant experience and the responsibilities of the role.

Required Vetting

Successful applicants will be required to complete standard vetting procedures, including:
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

  • Confirmation of the right to work in the UK.
