Tradewind Recruitment is looking to connect with experienced Behaviour Mentors and Behaviour Support professionals across St Helens for current and upcoming opportunities within secondary schools.
If you have experience supporting young people with SEMH, challenging behaviour, emotional regulation, attendance difficulties or disengagement from education, this could be an excellent opportunity to use your experience within a rewarding school environment.

What could the role involve?
Depending on the individual school and pupil cohort, responsibilities may include:
- Providing one-to-one and small-group behaviour support
- Building positive relationships with pupils
- Supporting students with SEMH needs
- Helping pupils regulate emotions and behaviour
- Encouraging positive engagement with learning
- Supporting attendance and reintegration
- Working alongside teaching and pastoral teams
- Implementing individual behaviour strategies
- Helping pupils develop confidence and resilience
- Providing consistent boundaries and expectations
Who are we looking for?
This could suit candidates with backgrounds including:
- Behaviour Mentor
- Behaviour Support Worker
- SEMH Support Worker
- Youth Worker
- Pastoral Support Worker
- Learning Mentor
- Teaching Assistant with significant behaviour experience
- Sports Coach with strong pastoral experience
- Residential or youth support professional
Experience working with secondary-aged pupils and young people with additional needs would be particularly beneficial.
