Job Description
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic Face-to-Face Tutor to support Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils in the Pickering area of North Yorkshire.
This role offers the chance to help learners re-engage with education, rebuild confidence and make meaningful progress in core subjects through structured 1:1 tuition.
Most students receive approximately 10 - 15 hours of tuition per week. Sessions can take place in schools, alternative provisions, community settings or the learner's home.
The Role
- Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition in Maths and English
- Plan and deliver engaging sessions tailored to individual needs
- Support pupils with SEN, SEMH needs or gaps in education
- Build positive professional relationships
- Monitor progress and adapt strategies
- Liaise with schools and support teams as required
The Ideal Tutor Will:
- Have experience teaching or tutoring in KS3 or KS4
- Be confident delivering Maths and/or English
- Demonstrate patience, adaptability and a calm approach
- Have strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Hold QTS, QTLS, PGCE or relevant experience (desirable)
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply
- Have the legal right to work in the UK
Pay: £30 - £35 per hour
