Cover Supervisor - Milton Keynes

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming secondary school in the Milton Keynes area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and is looking to develop their experience within a secondary school environment. You will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher and ensuring students remain engaged and focused on their work.

The Role:

• Supervising classes across a range of subjects during teacher absences.

• Delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring students remain on task.

• Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies.

• Supporting students with their learning and answering questions where appropriate.

• Creating a calm, positive and productive classroom environment.

• Providing feedback to teaching staff on student engagement and behaviour.

• Supporting the wider school team when required.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.

• Experience within a school or educational setting is advantageous.

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A confident, calm and adaptable approach.

• The ability to build positive relationships with students.

• A genuine passion for education and supporting young people.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a wider school team.
