Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant - Harrow
Harrow | Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00am-4:00pm | ASAP start
Are you a graduate looking to start a career in education, or an experienced Teaching Assistant seeking your next opportunity?
We're looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Harrow on a long-term, full-time basis, with the potential to become permanent.
Experience working with teenagers through tutoring, youth work, mentoring, sports, coaching, volunteering or similar settings would be ideal.
This is a great opportunity to develop your education experience and make a genuine difference to young people.
What You'll Do
Support secondary students in KS3 and KS4 with learning and development
Provide one-to-one and small-group support
Help students overcome barriers to learning
Build positive relationships with students
Work alongside teachers and support staff
Encourage confidence, independence and resilience
Support an inclusive learning environment
What We're Looking For
Positive, enthusiastic and approachable
- Ideally, educated to degree level and/or experience working with teenagers
- Experience with SEN (such as ADHD, dyslexia, Autism or SEMH) is desirable
Strong communication skills
Passionate about supporting young people
Previous SEN experience is desirable but not essential. Your attitude and ability to connect with young people are what matter most.
