Early Years Practitioner - Primary School - Brackley

Location: Brackley, Northamptonshire

We are working in partnership with a supportive primary school in Brackley that is looking to appoint an Early Years Practitioner to join their team immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and wants to play an important role in creating a positive start to children's education.

The school provides a nurturing and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to explore, communicate, develop independence, and learn through purposeful play. You will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff as part of a dedicated Early Years team.

The Role

  • Support children's learning and development across the Early Years Foundation Stage

  • Deliver engaging, creative, and play-based activities that encourage curiosity and exploration

  • Promote children's communication, social, emotional, and physical development

  • Observe and record children's progress in line with EYFS guidance

  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

  • Support children with additional needs where appropriate

  • Assist with preparing learning resources and classroom activities

  • Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence

  • Work closely with teachers and the wider Early Years team to support pupil development

About You

  • Hold a recognised Early Years qualification such as Level 2, Level 3, or equivalent

  • Have experience working in a nursery, preschool, Reception, or another EYFS setting

  • Have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework

  • Take a caring, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting young children

  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Enjoy creative, hands-on learning and getting involved in classroom activities

  • Are reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting children's development

  • Understand the importance of safeguarding and promoting children's welfare

  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
