We are working in partnership with a supportive primary school in Brackley that is looking to appoint an Early Years Practitioner to join their team immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and wants to play an important role in creating a positive start to children's education.
The school provides a nurturing and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to explore, communicate, develop independence, and learn through purposeful play. You will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff as part of a dedicated Early Years team.
The Role
Support children's learning and development across the Early Years Foundation Stage
Deliver engaging, creative, and play-based activities that encourage curiosity and exploration
Promote children's communication, social, emotional, and physical development
Observe and record children's progress in line with EYFS guidance
Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
Support children with additional needs where appropriate
Assist with preparing learning resources and classroom activities
Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence
Work closely with teachers and the wider Early Years team to support pupil development
About You
Hold a recognised Early Years qualification such as Level 2, Level 3, or equivalent
Have experience working in a nursery, preschool, Reception, or another EYFS setting
Have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
Take a caring, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting young children
Have strong communication and teamwork skills
Enjoy creative, hands-on learning and getting involved in classroom activities
Are reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting children's development
Understand the importance of safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
