We're looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Art Technician to support a secondary school on the Wirral, with an immediate opportunity available.
About the Role:
We are seeking an Art Technician to work alongside the Art department, supporting teachers and students with practical lessons and creative projects. You'll be responsible for preparing materials and equipment, maintaining an organised and safe art environment, and providing practical support during lessons.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare art materials, equipment, and resources for lessons
* Support teachers and students during practical and creative activities
* Maintain organised, clean, and safe art classrooms and workspaces
* Assist with displays, exhibitions, and student artwork where required
* Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering materials
* Maintain and care for art equipment and resources
* Support the smooth running of the Art department
What We're Looking For:
* A background or experience in Art, Design, Photography, or a related creative field
* Strong practical, creative, and organisational skills
* Knowledge of a range of art materials, techniques, and equipment
* Ability to work effectively alongside teachers and students
* A proactive, reliable, and enthusiastic approach
* A genuine passion for creativity and supporting young people
* A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
Desirable (but not essential):
* Previous experience working within a school, college, studio, or gallery environment
* A relevant Art or Design qualification
* Experience with photography, textiles, ceramics, printmaking, or other specialist art techniques
