Cover Supervisor
Location: Milton Keynes
Contract: Full-time

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, youth workers, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and on task while maintaining a positive learning environment.

The Role:

  • Supervising classes across a range of subjects using work set by teaching staff.

  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

  • Supporting students to complete learning activities and remain focused.

  • Creating a positive and productive learning environment.

  • Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.

  • Building positive relationships with students and school staff.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has experience working with young people in an educational, coaching, mentoring, youth work, or support setting.

  • Is confident managing groups of students.

  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Is adaptable, organised, and professional.

  • Is interested in education and supporting student development.

  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one through Tradewind Recruitment.
