SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary School - Glossop

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Glossop area. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with additional needs.

The Role

• Working as a SEND Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting.
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.
• Supporting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.
• Working closely with the class teacher and SEND team to provide consistent support.
• Helping create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience working with children with SEND in a primary school setting.
• A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher is beneficial.
• Patient, nurturing and confident in supporting children with additional needs.
• Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to pupil wellbeing.
• Previous experience in a school or education setting is essential.
