Tradewind Recruitment are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Food Technology Teacher to join a secondary school in the Bury St Edmunds area from January 2027.

This is a great opportunity for a Food Technology specialist to take responsibility for the subject across the school, with support from the wider leadership team.

The Role

• Teach Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons

• Teach GCSE Food and support students through their coursework and assessments

• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons effectively

• Mark students' work and assess progress

• Support students with their NEA assessments

• Work alongside the Head of Faculty, who will provide support

• Contribute to the wider life of the school

You would be the sole Food Technology teacher, so this role would suit someone who is confident working independently and has a good understanding of the GCSE Food curriculum.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has QTS or relevant teaching experience

• Has experience teaching Food Technology in a secondary setting

• Has experience delivering GCSE Food

• Understands the requirements of NEA assessment

• Can plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons

• Is confident managing a classroom and supporting students' progress

• Is enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about their subject

Location: Bury St Edmunds
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Teaching days: 4 or 5 days a week considered.
