Residential Support Worker Roles - Kidderminster
We are currently recruiting experienced Residential Support Workers for a children's residential home in the Kidderminster area.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for stable, long-term work within a supportive residential team, with a positive working environment and a strong focus on the care and development of young people.
The home supports children and young people with a range of emotional, behavioural and additional needs, so previous experience in residential care, children's services, SEND, education or support work is highly valued.
Key responsibilities include:
🤝 Building positive and trusting relationships with young people
🧠 Supporting emotional regulation and managing challenging behaviour
🏡 Providing day-to-day care and creating a safe, stable home environment
🎯 Supporting young people with routines, education and personal development
🛡️ Maintaining safeguarding standards and following care plans
💬 Communicating effectively with young people, colleagues and external professionals
📝 Completing accurate daily records and reporting any concerns appropriately
🌱 Encouraging independence, confidence and positive decision-making
🎨 Supporting activities, appointments and community-based activities
🚨 Responding appropriately to incidents and following agreed de-escalation strategies
We are looking for people who are patient, resilient, reliable and genuinely committed to supporting young people. Previous experience within a children's home or similar setting is preferred.
