We are currently recruiting for a versatile and energetic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school team in Preston. This is a varied, highly rewarding role that blends whole-class engagement, targeted academic support, and personalised 1:1 intervention.
Key Responsibilities
Whole-Class Support: Assisting the class teacher with classroom management, active learning activities, and creating an inclusive environment.
Small Group Work: Delivering targeted reading, writing, and maths interventions for small groups of children to raise attainment.
1:1 Support: Providing individual tailored assistance to children who require extra academic, emotional, or behavioural guidance throughout the school day.
Candidate Requirements
Experience: Prior experience supporting children in a primary school setting or a strong background in Early Years/Nursery settings looking to transition into primary education.
Core Skills: Confidence supporting core subjects (Reading, Writing, and Maths) alongside strong interpersonal skills.
Adaptability: Ability to move seamlessly between whole-class environments, small group sessions, and 1:1 support.
