Full-Time Year 2 Teacher - Worksop

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Qualified Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Worksop, teaching a Year 2 class on a full-time basis from ASAP until the summer.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident teacher who has a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum, enjoys creating engaging lessons and is confident managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.

The Role

As the Year 2 Class Teacher, you will be responsible for:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum.
• Teaching a Year 2 class on a full-time basis.
• Supporting pupils to make strong academic and personal progress.
• Establishing positive relationships with pupils and creating a calm, purposeful classroom.
• Managing behaviour confidently and consistently in line with school expectations.
• Assessing pupils' progress and adapting teaching accordingly.
• Working collaboratively with support staff and other members of the school team.
• Contributing positively to the wider life of the school.

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have recent and relevant experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.
• Have a strong knowledge of the KS1 National Curriculum.
• Be confident managing classroom behaviour.
• Be an engaging and enthusiastic teacher who can inspire and motivate pupils.
• Be reliable, professional and committed to providing high-quality teaching.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
