We are working closely with a supportive primary school in Rugby that is seeking to appoint a caring, patient, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from October 2026.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to provide tailored support to a pupil with additional needs while working as part of a supportive school team. The role is Monday to Friday, 10:00am-2:00pm, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking for consistent part-time hours within a primary school setting.
The Role
Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with Special Educational Needs
Working 10:00am-2:00pm, Monday to Friday
Supporting the pupil's academic, social, emotional, and personal development
Helping the pupil access learning and overcome barriers to their education
Supporting communication, social interaction, independence, and confidence
Helping the pupil manage emotions and regulate behaviour where required
Assisting the class teacher with learning activities and interventions
Creating a calm, positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and other professionals to provide consistent support

We Are Looking For Someone Who
Is patient, caring, resilient, and adaptable
Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
Can build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
Is reliable, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a team
Can support behaviour and emotional regulation in a calm and consistent manner
Has experience working with children in education, care, nursery, youth work, coaching, or a similar setting - desirable but not essential
Has a genuine interest in supporting children with SEN
Is available to work 10:00am-2:00pm, Monday to Friday
Is eligible to work in the UK and willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check
