Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time role in a supportive Chesterfield primary school?

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join a popular Junior School in Chesterfield, working with pupils across Key Stage 2.

The school works directly with Tradewind Recruitment and is looking for an experienced TA who can make a positive difference both within the classroom and when providing more targeted, one-to-one support.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support the class teacher with the day-to-day running of the classroom.
• Provide support to pupils across Key Stage 2.
• Work on a one-to-one basis with pupils requiring additional support.
• Help pupils to access the curriculum and develop their confidence and independence.
• Support pupils with their learning, social development and engagement.
• Work effectively as part of a supportive teaching team.
• Promote positive behaviour and create an inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful Teaching Assistant will:

• Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school.
• Have experience supporting pupils across Key Stage 2.
• Be confident providing both classroom and one-to-one support.
• Have a patient, positive and nurturing approach.
• Be reliable, enthusiastic and committed to supporting children's learning.
• Be able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Hold a relevant TA qualification or have significant relevant school-based experience.
