Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a KS1/KS2 to join a specialist SEMH school on a full-time, full-year basis, starting as soon as possible.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and resilient teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The successful candidate will work within a supportive specialist setting, delivering engaging lessons while helping pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching KS1/KS2
  • Have experience working with pupils with SEMH and additional needs
  • Be confident managing behaviour using positive and consistent strategies
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Have a calm, patient and nurturing approach
  • Be able to adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs
  • Create an engaging, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
  • Have strong communication, organisation and classroom management skills
  • Be committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential
