Secondary English Teacher - Lincoln

As a Secondary English Teacher on supply, you will:

  • Be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and inclusive English lessons
  • Have a strong understanding of the English National Curriculum
  • Deliver a range of English topics and concepts across KS3 and KS4
  • Develop students' skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening
  • Teach a range of literature and language topics, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry and Shakespeare
  • Encourage students to develop their analytical, critical thinking and communication skills
  • Use a range of teaching strategies to support pupils with diverse learning needs and abilities
  • Encourage students to engage with a wide range of texts and develop a love of reading
  • Support students in developing their written expression, vocabulary and accuracy
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing appropriate feedback and support
  • Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations and other relevant assessments
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching environments and school settings

To join us and be successful as a Secondary English Teacher, you will need to:

  • Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
