The Opportunity

As a Cover Supervisor, you will support secondary schools across Bath by supervising classes during teacher absences. You'll follow pre-planned lessons, keep pupils engaged and help maintain a calm, productive learning environment across a range of subjects.

This role could suit experienced Cover Supervisors, teaching assistants looking to progress, or graduates considering a future career in teaching.

Your Responsibilities

  • Supervise classes across a range of secondary subjects
  • Deliver pre-set work and follow lesson instructions
  • Maintain positive behaviour and effective classroom management
  • Support pupils with their learning where appropriate
  • Ensure a safe, calm and productive classroom environment
  • Adapt to different school settings and classroom needs
