Teaching Assistant - SEN | Blackpool

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work within the SEN department of a mainstream primary school in the Blackpool area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them achieve their full potential.

Location: Blackpool
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until Christmas
Setting: Mainstream Primary School - SEN
Pay: Competitive daily rate, dependent on experience

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to children with additional needs.
  • Support pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.
  • Work closely with teachers and the SEN team to implement individual support strategies.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Encourage student engagement, independence and confidence.
  • Support classroom activities and help manage behaviour positively.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Has experience supporting children or young people with SEN (desirable).
  • Is patient, caring, resilient and adaptable.
  • Has strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Is passionate about inclusive education and supporting students with additional needs.
  • Can build positive relationships with students and staff.
