Year 2 Teacher - Hyde
Immediate Start | MPS 1-6 | Potential Permanent Contract

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 2 Teacher for a welcoming primary school in Hyde, starting as soon as possible, with the opportunity to move onto a permanent school contract.

The school has a diverse catchment and takes pride in its inclusive approach to education. As a single-form-entry school, it offers a supportive environment where staff can build strong relationships with pupils and make a genuine difference to their learning and development. The school also has a dedicated resource base supporting pupils with complex needs.

The Role:

  • Teaching a Year 2 class, delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.

  • Planning, preparing and assessing learning to support pupils' progress and development.

  • Supporting pupils with a range of abilities and additional needs, including children with EHCPs.

  • Delivering phonics using the Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised programme.

  • Creating a positive, inclusive classroom where every child feels supported and encouraged to succeed.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Has experience teaching in KS1, ideally within Year 2.

  • Is confident delivering phonics and familiar with Little Wandle, or willing to follow the school's approach.

  • Can adapt teaching to meet the needs of a diverse class, including pupils with additional needs.

  • Is committed to inclusive education and building positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
