Year 2 Teacher

Start Date: November
Temporary Contract with the View to a Permanent School Contract

Are you a passionate and committed Key Stage 1 teacher looking for an exciting opportunity within a supportive and forward-thinking school? A welcoming and successful single-form entry primary school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join the team after half-term, with the potential for the role to become permanent.

Part of a highly regarded and supportive Multi-Academy Trust, the school benefits from strong and ambitious leadership at both school and trust level. Staff are well supported in their professional development and encouraged to grow within a collaborative and nurturing environment.

About the School

This thriving primary school is proud of the diverse community it serves and the strong relationships it has built with families and the wider local community. The school is committed to ensuring every child feels valued, supported and inspired to achieve their full potential.

The school embraces high-quality, evidence-informed teaching and learning approaches, including the use of White Rose Maths and Little Wandle Revised Letters and Sounds for phonics. While these schemes provide a strong foundation, teachers are encouraged to bring creativity and innovation into their classrooms to create engaging and memorable learning experiences.

The school also boasts extensive outdoor spaces which are used to enhance learning opportunities, promote physical activity and support children's wellbeing. In addition, the school has a dedicated resource base that supports children with complex learning needs, reflecting its inclusive ethos and commitment to meeting the needs of all learners.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 2.
  • Be confident in the teaching and delivery of the Little Wandle Revised Phonics Scheme.
  • Demonstrate a genuine commitment to making a positive difference to children's learning, development and life chances.
  • Have high expectations for both achievement and behaviour.
  • Be reflective, adaptable and eager to develop their own practice.
  • Be open-minded and willing to share ideas whilst embracing and contributing to the successful approaches already established within the school.
  • Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills with pupils, colleagues and families.
  • Be committed to working collaboratively as part of a team and contributing positively to the wider school community.

The School Offers:

  • The opportunity to work within a successful and supportive Multi-Academy Trust.
  • Strong leadership and clear strategic direction.
  • A welcoming and collaborative staff team with excellent professional development opportunities.
  • Well-established teaching resources and schemes.
  • Extensive outdoor learning and sporting facilities.
  • A diverse, inclusive and community-focused school environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 teacher who is passionate about helping children succeed and who wishes to become part of a caring, ambitious and inclusive school community.

Applications are welcomed from ECTS and experienced teachers who are ready to positively impact the lives of children and contribute to the continued success of the school.
