  • Supporting children with a range of needs, including autism, learning difficulties and communication needs.

  • Helping deliver engaging, accessible and practical learning activities.

  • Supporting pupils' social, emotional and communication development.

  • Encouraging independence, confidence and positive relationships.

  • Supporting personal care and hygiene routines where required.

  • Helping to create a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience working with children, ideally within a primary or SEN setting.

  • Has a patient, nurturing and adaptable approach.

  • Is confident supporting pupils with additional learning and communication needs.

  • Can build positive relationships with children and colleagues.

  • Is resilient, proactive and passionate about making a difference.

  • Is happy to support personal care and other individual needs where required.

  • Is available to work full-time, Monday to Friday.

Experience in a specialist SEN school would be particularly beneficial, although candidates with transferable experience supporting children with additional needs are encouraged to apply.

Pay and Benefits

  • £95-£120 per day, depending on experience and the school's budget.

  • The opportunity to gain valuable experience in a specialist primary SEN setting.

  • Support from a dedicated SEN consultant at Tradewind Recruitment.

  • Opportunities to develop your skills through relevant training.

  • The chance to make a genuine difference to children's learning, confidence and independence.

Please note: The higher end of the pay scale is reserved for candidates with solid, relevant experience who are available to work full-time. The final rate offered will also be dependent on the school's budget.
