Pay: £174.71-£240.70 per day, dependent on experience

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in Cheshire West on an immediate, full-time basis until Christmas 2026.

This is a genuine live vacancy offering an excellent opportunity for a qualified Mathematics Teacher who is available immediately and looking to secure teaching work for the remainder of the autumn term.

The school requires a confident and committed Maths Teacher who can deliver Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, maintain continuity of learning and support pupils preparing for their GCSE examinations.

The Role

The successful Maths Teacher will take responsibility for delivering engaging and appropriately challenging Mathematics lessons to pupils across Years 7-11.

Responsibilities will include:

• Teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4

• Delivering lessons covering number, algebra, geometry, statistics and probability

• Supporting pupils with mathematical reasoning and problem-solving

• Preparing GCSE pupils for relevant assessments and examinations

• Assessing pupil understanding and providing constructive feedback

• Adapting teaching to meet different abilities and learning needs

• Maintaining positive classroom behaviour and established routines

• Working collaboratively with colleagues in the Mathematics department

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake the teaching, planning, marking and assessment responsibilities associated with the assignment.

The Ideal Maths Teacher

We are particularly interested in candidates who:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Have strong subject knowledge in Mathematics

• Have experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Maths

• Are confident delivering GCSE Mathematics

• Demonstrate effective classroom and behaviour management

• Can explain mathematical concepts clearly to pupils of varying abilities

• Have high expectations of pupil progress and achievement

• Can quickly establish positive relationships with pupils and colleagues

• Are available immediately and can commit until Christmas 2026

About the Opportunity

This position is based at a secondary school in the Cheshire West area, with the assignment beginning as soon as a suitable candidate is available and continuing until Christmas.

The school requires a qualified Maths specialist who can quickly integrate into the department, establish positive classroom routines and maintain consistent teaching across KS3 and KS4.

This opportunity would particularly suit a teacher who is currently available, approaching the end of another assignment or seeking short-term teaching work before Christmas.
