Pay: £174.71-£240.70 per day, dependent on experience

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Spanish Teacher to join a secondary school on the Wirral on an immediate, full-time basis until Christmas 2026.

This is a genuine live teaching vacancy offering an excellent opportunity for a qualified Spanish or Modern Foreign Languages Teacher who is available immediately and looking to secure work for the remainder of the autumn term.

The school requires someone who can confidently deliver Key Stage 3 Spanish, alongside providing additional classroom cover as part of the timetable.

This opportunity may particularly appeal to an experienced MFL Teacher who enjoys teaching younger pupils and is comfortable supporting a wider range of classes when required.

The Role

As a Spanish Teacher, you will deliver engaging KS3 Spanish lessons and undertake additional classroom cover responsibilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Teaching Spanish across Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9)

• Developing pupils' speaking, listening, reading and writing skills

• Supporting vocabulary acquisition, pronunciation and grammatical understanding

• Delivering engaging language activities that build confidence

• Assessing pupil understanding and providing constructive feedback

• Differentiating lessons to support varying abilities

• Providing additional classroom cover as required by the school

• Managing classroom behaviour across Spanish and cover lessons

• Maintaining positive relationships with pupils and colleagues

• Following established school policies and safeguarding procedures

The successful candidate will need to be adaptable, organised and confident delivering Spanish lessons while supporting additional cover requirements.

The Ideal Spanish Teacher

We are particularly interested in candidates who:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Have strong subject knowledge in Spanish

• Have experience teaching Spanish or MFL in a secondary school

• Are confident delivering KS3 Spanish

• Can develop pupils' language skills through engaging lessons

• Demonstrate effective classroom and behaviour management

• Are comfortable providing additional classroom cover

• Can adapt quickly to different teaching groups and learning environments

• Build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues

• Are available immediately and can commit until Christmas 2026
