Science Teacher - Full-Time Long-Term Supply | Oldham | Until July 2027

Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a qualified Science Teacher looking for a long-term opportunity in Oldham?

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a well-regarded secondary academy in Oldham that is looking for a dedicated Science Teacher to join their team as soon as possible.

This is a full-time, long-term supply position running until July 2027.

The Role

  • Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, up to GCSE
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8.15am-3pm
  • Creating engaging lessons that bring Science to life, including practical learning
  • Maintaining a positive, safe and focused classroom environment
  • Adapting teaching to meet the needs of different learners

The academy is keen to hear from ECTs, experienced QTS teachers and QTLS-qualified teachers with experience of teaching 11-16-year-olds.

  • Rated Good by Ofsted in January 2023

Ofsted praised the calm and focused atmosphere, positive relationships between pupils and teachers, and the support pupils receive.

What You'll Need

  • QTS, QTLS or ECT status
  • Experience teaching Science to secondary-aged pupils
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A full CV covering your employment and education history, with any gaps explained
  • The legal right to work in the UK

The role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (where applicable) and satisfactory professional references.
