Daily Rate: £200-£330 per day, dependent on experience and responsibilities

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced and qualified Secondary School SENDCo to join a welcoming secondary school in Lewisham on a supply basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated SEND professional to support the effective provision and development of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across the school.

The Role:

  • Oversee and coordinate the school's SEND provision, ensuring pupils receive appropriate support.

  • Lead on the implementation and monitoring of EHCPs and individual support plans.

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, senior leaders, parents and external agencies.

  • Monitor pupil progress and ensure provision meets statutory SEND requirements.

  • Support and advise staff on inclusive teaching strategies and best practice.

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the school's SEND provision.

Requirements:

  • A relevant degree is essential.

  • Previous experience working within a SENDCo or senior SEND leadership capacity is required.

  • Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and statutory responsibilities.

  • Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.

  • A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.

Pay & Progression: £200-£330 per day

The daily rate will reflect your qualifications, relevant experience, level of responsibility and the scope of the role.

  • £200-£240 per day: Suitable for candidates meeting the essential requirements with relevant SEND experience.

  • £240-£285 per day: Available to candidates with substantial SEND experience, strong knowledge of statutory processes and the ability to manage wider responsibilities independently.

  • £285-£330 per day: Reserved for highly experienced SEND professionals who can demonstrate significant leadership experience, manage complex SEND provision, take on additional responsibilities and contribute to whole-school SEND strategy.

There may also be opportunities to increase your daily rate as you demonstrate your capabilities, take on additional duties and progress into greater levels of responsibility within the role.
