Keeping children safe in education

2018-08-16

Here at Tradewind, we are committed to making the safety of the children in your schools our number one priority.

We have collaborated with several experts in the industry to update and improve our Safeguarding training in line with the new ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (September 2016) guidelines.

Please see below the procedures and CPD training that we have implemented nationally:

  • All our candidates have been sent a copy of the ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ guidelines and have been asked to read and familiarise themselves with all the changes and updates. Further to this, we have also strongly advised all candidates to attend a webinar or seminar on these guidelines - we will be hosting regular sessions to meet demand throughout November and December.
  • All newly registered candidates will be booked onto the next available seminar or webinar. These sessions cover the most up to date Safeguarding and PREVENT duty procedures.
  • The ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ guidelines have been fully incorporated into our candidate Induction process. Teachers and Support staff will be sent the guidelines prior to an interview and will be questioned on their knowledge of it when they attend a compulsory face to face interview with one of our trained Consultants.
  • All employees at Tradewind have been briefed on these new guidelines, the Ofsted expectations around safeguarding and the importance of keeping all our teaching staff up to date with any changes and reforms.

As an agency, we strive to go the extra mile to provide our staff with the most up to date information and are continually looking to improve the way we upskill our teaching staff.

The safety of the children in the schools that we serve is of paramount importance to us. We settle for nothing less and this is reflected in our stringent vetting procedures.

We are a value-led company and our staff are trained to always consider the needs of all students including; safeguarding, their educational wellbeing and development throughout their school lives.

Kind Regards,

Nick Murphy
