We did it! Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work for 2018 for 2nd Year

2018-08-13

We are incredibly proud to announce that……………we have made The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work for 2018, for the second year running!

The winners were announced last night during The Sunday Times Annual Awards ceremony, hosted in the impressive Battersea Evolution. The highly respected Best Companies to Work for list showcases the very best in workforce engagement and serves as a benchmark; setting the standard of best practice, great working relationships, cross-departmental collaboration and overall, pretty great places to work.

Our CEO, Nick Murphy attended the awards last night “Securing a place in the prestigious Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For list for the first time last year was a landmark moment for us. Making it into the list again for the second year running means just as much, if not more. It’s been a brilliant year and a year not without its challenges in a candidate shortage market; this award is a testament to the resilience, shining ability, commitment and dedication of our people. Our people really do matter most and it’s the brilliant personalities and attitudes of our teams that truly make Tradewind and SANZA a great place to work.”

Eamonn Molloy, Manager of our London Secondary Team joined Tradewind a number of years ago and has progressed rapidly through the company "I first walked through the doors of Tradewind Recruitment over 7 years ago after a not-so-happy first year in the world of education recruitment at a far from reputable competitor which somewhat disillusioned me in my career, but was asked to come and meet the sales director by my manager at the time who was leaving to join them; despite being adamant my career did not lie in this field, I agreed to the meeting and basically, not to romanticise things, haven’t looked back. They’ve been an unreal company to work for, the owner, CEO, sales director are all some of the best people I know, let alone have had the pleasure of working with. If you’d asked me before I walked through those doors 7 and a half years ago would I still be here today I would have bet my house (that I didn’t own then, but do now thanks to Tradewind) that I wouldn’t have…….but I am, and happily so.

As long as I am in this field there will 100% be no other company I will work for, I know a lot of colleagues, friends, enemies who have worked for a number of different companies in this industry and I know that no one else comes close to the way Tradewind treat their employees. They gave me my first step up from consultant to managing consultant, to my first job in management….and have given me all the training and support needed to make a (hopeful) success of it! There is one agency to work for, and that is here.”

Amy Roberts is an Education Consultant based in our Manchester office, “I have worked at Tradewind for almost 5 years and couldn’t see myself working anywhere else, this is mainly because of the team culture that we have here in the office. We regularly attend team events outside of work and my colleagues are more like friends. We have competitive salaries and holiday structures and the whole company is taken on annual holidays abroad. Everybody is valued, from newcomers to longer standing members of staff and the whole company attends a weekly meeting where people who have gone the extra mile are highlighted across the company.  Every day is different and I genuinely love coming to work.”

Narges Karden, Candidate Consultant from our London office gives her view on life in Tradewind; “I joined Tradewind Recruitment in 2014 and have never looked back. There are so many wonderful reasons that make working for our company great however if I had to choose, here are my top three reasons why Tradewind Recruitment is THE recruitment agency to work for:

1. Our company, managers and consultants all acknowledge the importance of the Candidate Consultant role. All the hard work that is carried out prior, during and after our candidates are registered is always recognised and appreciated. This is demonstrated by the great commission structure we have in place, and celebrating success stories and top performers through weekly announcements delivered by directors / managers and CEO nationwide.

2. Our company thrives on customer service and we are always looking for different ways of making positive changes as Candidate Consultants. We have weekly meetings with an open forum with our directors to discuss ways of improving our processes. We will openly discuss methods that have worked for us individually and share our thoughts and ideas.

3. Tradewind Recruitment highly reinvests back into their staff and their development. We have been shown a clear career path and have been provided necessary tools to achieve the goals set for us.”

This means much so more than just an award to us, as the survey creates an opportunity for our teams to honestly answer via an independent body about how they really feel about working here. We go the extra mile to create an environment that not only attracts top talent but retains them. Which, in the recruitment world, bucks the trend of a revolving door that inhibits many of our competitors. This award also extends much further than our internal teams and ultimately benefits our schools and candidates, a great working environment has afforded us the luxury of our consultants being with us for many years; providing continuity, long-lasting relationships and a deep and intimate understanding of our schools, teachers and support staff, in turn providing exceptional service.

Here’s to an amazing 2018 and a huge thank you to each and every one of our people. You really do matter most. To register, place a booking or enquire about internal opportunities please contact us today info@twrecruitment.com
