SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in a child's educational journey? Do you have experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly autism, in a primary or SEN setting? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Position: SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Year 1 Classroom
Responsibilities:

  • Providing dedicated support to a child with autism to engage effectively in classroom activities and coursework.
  • Assisting the child with their learning objectives and ensuring they have access to the curriculum.
  • Implementing individualised strategies to promote the child's social and academic development.
  • Collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a primary or SEN setting, particularly with children with autism.
  • Proactive and supportive approach to assisting children with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and parents.
  • Ideally, a qualified Teaching Assistant with relevant certifications, although candidates with substantial experience will also be considered.
