About the Role:
- As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of a student within the Year 4 class.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 support tailored to the student's individual needs
- Assisting with classroom activities and adapting materials to accommodate the student's learning style
- Implementing strategies to support the student's academic progress and social-emotional well-being
- Collaborating closely with the class teacher and SENCO to create and implement personalised learning plans
- Managing any challenging behaviours in a calm and supportive manner
- Building positive relationships with the student, their peers, and parents/carers to foster a supportive learning environment.
Entry Requirements:
- Previous background working closely with challenging SEN students, preferably within a primary school setting
- Updated enhanced DBS certificate
- Immediate availability to start
