Tradewind recruitment are seeking ideally a male due to the nature of a particular student that has Autism and challenging behaviours. We require a 1:1 Specialist Learning Assistant to join a truly inspiring school at the heart of Driffield's community working alongside
a staff team of highly effective and passionate practitioners. The school caters for pupils aged 2-19 years across two sites. The school has new state of the art facilities and has been purpose built to meet the needs of the pupils. With 11 new classrooms the school also has a new hydrotherapy pool, rebound room, sensory therapy room and sensory rooms.

All the students have complex needs and are offered specialist provision for those on the autistic spectrum and with multi-sensory needs.

The School aims to be an inspirational Centre of Excellence to support even the most vulnerable and challenged students to re-engage with learning regardless of ability. Providing the foundation to build and develop skills and mental attitude to life and education that will enable them to fulfil their potential.

As a 1:1 Specialist Learning Assistant you will actively encourage students to develop high levels of social interaction and independence, including participation in trips and visits, whilst preparing them for the next stage in their education or life. Therefore the ideal candidate will have:
*a background of autism and SEN
*experience of working in a challenging setting
*experience of Behaviour management and ideally a Team Teach certificate
*Provide academic support to learners
