Seeking a Compassionate and Skilled Teacher Specialising in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)!

Tradewind are working with a large secondary age special school that supports pupils with Autism and Complex Needs. We are currently recruiting for those who are available for daily supply, the hours are 8:45am-3:45pm.

Responsibilities:

Create engaging and accessible learning activities that promote academic progress and social skills development.

Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued, understood, and empowered.

Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and support staff to ensure continuity of care and education both at school and home.

Utilise evidence-based practices and instructional strategies to address the specific challenges associated with ASD.

Requirements:

QTS or Equivalent

Minimum 6 months experience teaching within a special school (preferred).

Proven experience working with students with ASD in an educational setting.

Strong understanding of ASD characteristics, behaviours, and intervention strategies.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to teaching.
