Role: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Southwark, London
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Full-time, Long-term (Until the end of the academic year)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents, preferably within an educational setting
- A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting students with behavioural challenges
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviours and de-escalate conflicts
- A valid and current DBS check registered on the update service
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with students to provide individualised support and intervention strategies to improve behaviour and engagement in learning
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other staff members to develop and implement behaviour plans and strategies tailored to the needs of each student
- Foster positive relationships with students, acting as a role model and mentor
- Implement restorative approaches to resolve conflicts and promote a positive and inclusive school culture
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to relevant stakeholders as necessary
- Support the overall well-being and personal development of students, promoting self-esteem and resilience
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to behaviour management and intervention strategies
