Our school, nestled in the vibrant community of Tower Hamlets, is seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join our team. As a crucial member of our educational community, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with challenging behavior both within the classroom and beyond. Your commitment to encouraging learning, minimizing disruption, and creating effective intervention strategies will be instrumental in helping our students thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

📚 Provide targeted support to students with challenging behavior, both inside and outside the classroom, to ensure they can engage effectively in learning activities.

🎓 Implement proactive strategies and interventions to address behavior issues, working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to develop tailored support plans.

🤝 Foster positive relationships with students, acting as a mentor and role model to promote self-esteem, resilience, and positive behavior.

🌱 Design and deliver intervention classes and workshops aimed at addressing specific behavior concerns and promoting social and emotional development.

🛡️ Work closely with the school's pastoral team to monitor and track student progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate interventions as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

🔍 Previous experience working with students with challenging behavior is highly desirable, but not essential - a genuine passion for supporting young people is essential!

🎓 Strong behavior management skills, with the ability to de-escalate conflicts and implement effective strategies for maintaining a positive learning environment.

📚 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.

🤝 A collaborative and proactive approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

🛡️ A resilient and empathetic nature, with a commitment to supporting students through challenges and setbacks.
