We are looking to recruit a passionate and enthusiastic teacher of Business Studies and to work in an FE College with outstanding facilities on the island of Guernsey in the Channel Islands. This position is until June 2020. A Business lecturer is required to teach in the Business, Finance and Management department of the College. The lecturer will plan and provide high quality teaching, as well as taking shared responsibility for the administration of a range of courses and levels delivered throughout the business provision. Full‐time and part‐time learners study from a range of business related qualifications such as those awarded by BTEC, Chartered Management Institute (CMI), the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

The Lecturer will plan and provide high quality teaching as well as taking shared
responsibility for the tutorial and pastoral support of at least one group of learners. The
area provides courses to full‐time and part‐time professional learners and offers a full range of business and management related qualifications.The area requires a dynamic and enthusiastic lecturer to inspire all learners and to be part of a forward thinking team.

The successful candidate will be/have:
*Able to commit from January to June 2020 on the island of Guernsey, and have no commitments in the UK that may prevent them from staying on the island during the placement.
*A Qualified lecturer who can teach Business Studies across GCSE & A Level.
*The ability to work alone, and plan, prepare and deliver exciting and innovating lessons.
*Strong classroom management, and able to manage any challenging behaviour in a calm and effective manner.
*Comfortable with their own company, or enjoy making friends with the locals and other supply teachers on the island!
*Happy to work on a small island that has around only approximately 63,000 people, a limited amount of shops and restaurants, and with inflated prices (the cost of living is higher than the UK).
