This is a great opportunity for people with experience supporting children or young adults with Complex Needs!
We are recruiting for a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant at a secondary special needs school in North Manchester for young people aged 11-19 with Autism, Complex Needs, Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Severe Learning Disabilities, SLD.
Starting in ASAP on a full time & long term, temp to perm basis.
Excellent pay up to £100/day (hourly rate), paid PAYE direct by Tradewind.
- Complex Needs Teaching Assistant at a special needs high school in North Manchester.
- Starting in ASAP on a full time basis.
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30am - 4pm (5pm finish on Wednesdays)
- Pay up to £12.85/hour (approx. 35 hours/week)
- You will need to offer a holistic approach involving academic, emotional, behavioural, pastoral and physical support.
- You will be working in groups of no more than 8 pupils at a time.
- Working closely with the class teacher and other TAs in your group to deliver the best outcomes for your pupils.
- Some young people require Personal Care including toileting, changing and personal hygiene.
- Some require Moving & Handling support with wheelchairs and hoists.
- Most pupils are working on the Engagement Model of learning which focuses on 5 main areas: Exploration, Realisation, Anticipation, Persistance & Initiation.
- This is a special needs school in North Manchester for young people aged 11-19 with Autism, Complex Needs, Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties, PMLD and Severe Learning Disabilities, SLD.

To join us and be successful in this Complex Needs Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:
- Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one).
- Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
- Minimum of 2 professional references.
- Provide a CV with a full history from your education until present.
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Some experience supporting children or young adults with special needs.
