Resistant Materials specialist required - September 2024 - Long term to permanent post on MPS/UPS (£155 to £225 per day) - Secondary School located in Hatfield, Hertfordshire

Are you a DT Teacher who can teach Resistant Materials with passion and enthusiasm? Would you like to teach in an AP setting where you will have class sizes of between 6 an 8?

About the School

Located in Hatfield this exceptional Alternative Provision School has recently been judged as a 'Good with Outstanding' feature provider of education to for students who are not able to cope in mainstream settings. The school has high expectations of all its students and teaches a robust curriculum of subjects that lead many to achieve GCSE, BTEC and other vocational qualifications that set them up to make a success of themselves once they leave. From September the school will be looking to add DT Teacher on a long term to permanent basis.

This school understands the pressures on teachers and the work/life balance and as such all planning and assessment is done in schools hours ensuring teaching staff have their evenings and weekends to themselves.

Role requirements

  • QTS Teacher in Design Technology
  • Ability to teach DT across the subject with RM through to GCSE
  • Ability to engage, inspire all with the confidence to manage behaviour
  • Able to commit to a long term to permanent role
