Tradewind Recruitment are looking to appoint and enthusiastic, engaging and dynamic Design Technology Teacher to work at a mixed Academy based in Islington!
Our client is a mixed, all-ability academy which is housed in a lovely building with excellent facilities for students, staff and the community. They aim to provide a world class education for students, making them 'well-rounded' individuals. They provide a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to the needs students. They are looking for someone to take over a maternity contract from next week, but can be a bit flexible with the start date. As a Design Technology Teacher you will be teaching a range of DT subjects including Product Design and Textiles. You will also be a joint form tutor and have an enrichment class every other week on Tuesday's once school opens normally.
This is a full time role, 5 days per week initially working from home/teaching virtually. The school currently have a rota system so the successful candidate will be required to come into work 1 day a week every other week and teach the remaining classes at home. However, in the first few weeks to liaise with Head of DT this may be more than 1 day a week.

Located in central London they have good transport links but no parking facilities at school. However, during covid-19 the principal has allowed staff to park in the playground and Islington council can issue key worker permits during these times which would allow staff to park in nearby roads which are a short walk away from the school.
