Tradewind Recruitment are looking for an English and Media Studies Teacher to work in a highly-ranked mixed school in East London starting in January 2019.
The School was rated 'Outstanding' in their last Ofsted Inspection in 2017.

Media Studies is such an exciting subject within the school given that we live in such a media driven world; this is the age of the prosumer, a place where young people both produce and consume media in equal measure. The students at the school thoroughly enjoy Media and see it as one of their most favourite subjects they learn.
The importance of English is emphasised as a key requirement within the linguistic repertoire and development of each student, language and literature is a core subject and at the centre of importance when it comes to learning and progressing within the education system.

Required Skills
*Ability to teach KS3-KS4 English and Media
*Ability to teach KS5 Media or English
*A team player who can work collaboratively within a team and confidently as an individual
*An enthusiastic and dynamic individual who can work well within a team as well as take initiative and go above and beyond to display excellence within the school
*An individual with leadership skills and qualities to inspire members of staff and students
*A QTS/QTLS holder (or equivalent teaching qualification)

*The media department follow the OCR exam board specifications at GCSE and A Level
*Typically, 80,000 graduates annually in the UK have some components of Media Studies in their degrees and this testifies to the value of knowledge of contemporary media practices and the value the school put on teaching the subject
*The English department consists of 9 teachers and 3 Graduate TA's

Daily Rate/Salary will be based on your experience, in line with the main pay scale and upper pay scale
