Are you a qualified and experienced English teacher seeking a rewarding opportunity? Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated English teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in St. Helens. This temporary position is set to commence after Easter and extend until at least May half-term.
The English department at our client school have designed a curriculum based around a student-centred approach to activities to nurture independence, resilience and critical thought or consideration of a range of texts. The key threads of independence, resilience and critical thought that run through the Key Stage 3 curriculum are maintained and extended at Key Stage 4.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons for students aged 11-16.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the English curriculum.
Requirements:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching English to KS3 and KS4.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Legal right to work in the UK, enhanced DBS and satisfactory references
Pay and Duration:
- Pay rate: Up to £211.96 per day, dependent on experience.
- Contract duration: From after Easter until at least May half-term.
