School Food Technician - ASAP / June 2024 - Temporary to permanent post - Full-time role within 8am - 3:30pm - £80 + p/day

As a School Food Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the dynamic culinary environment of our school. Your responsibilities will include:

Food Supplies Management: Ensure that all food supplies are well-stocked and organised for various classes and projects. Assist with the maintenance and daily operations of the Food Technology department, including hands-on support during lessons as needed.

Classroom Setup: Prepare and set up food technology classrooms with the necessary materials and ingredients, ensuring a productive environment for culinary education.

Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and oversee the proper functioning of kitchen equipment and tools, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.

Collaboration: Work closely with the Food Technology Faculty to understand their specific needs and assist in implementing engaging culinary activities.

Inspire Creativity: Encourage and motivate students to explore their culinary potential, fostering a love for cooking and food science within the school community.

Criteria:

  • Passion for food and culinary arts
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
