Are you a reliable and dedicated teacher of Food Technology seeking a new opportunity from September?

Would you like to work in a high achieving and Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' school with the option to take on some additional responsibility?

Tradewind Recruitment have been asked by an 11 to 19 secondary school in West Essex to assist them in finding a qualified Food Technology Teacher to join their hard-working team of staff. Situated in Brentwood and falling on the Fringe pay scale, the school would be keen to appoint in line with the MPR/UPR. The school can offer either a long-term supply agreement or permanent/fixed term contract.

This Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' school has consistently progressed in recent years. Pupils behaviour is excellent, they respond promptly to instructions and work well together. There is a calm environment throughout the school with teachers modelling high expectations. The curriculum and activities are engaging and varied. Teachers are encouraged to use a range of effective techniques to help students develop their understanding and enjoy learning.

The successful Food Technology Teacher will be:

  • Familiar and confident with the planning and delivery of lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • A committed and reliable teacher dedicated to the role.
  • Consistently motivated to deliver engaging lessons.
  • An excellent communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • A positive and personable role model for their class.

  • Need to hold QTS or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Hold a degree in a closely related subject.
  • Three reasonable A Level results, preferably in Food and related subjects.
  • Good GCSE results, especially within Maths and English.
  • Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
  • Cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
