This type of work will be a great opportunity for Psychology graduates to use their academic knowledge in a practical way in an Education setting. You will have the opportunity to work within a range of schools or on a 1:1 / small group setting with young people. Many of our schools have immediate and ongoing requirements and can offer routes into teaching qualifications and permanent positions.

The work may involve 1:1 intervention lesson's, leading small groups of pupils and supporting pupils in class as a Teaching Assistant. Previous experience of working with young people is highly desirable and should be highlighted on your CV. It will be expected that candidates will have good quality literacy skills and appropriate educational qualifications to be able to meet these high standards.

Must have any below:
- Degree or training in Psychology, English, Maths or Media

Highly Desirable:
- Special Educational Needs Experience in a care or school setting
- Understanding and experience of supporting/teaching young people
- Experience of working alongside young people with Mental Health issues is also an advantage.

Placements in schools vary from daily supply, short and long-term cover and permanent positions according to your requirements and availability. Pay will depend on experience and the responsibilities of the role and is never less than £60 per day.

Several of our client schools benefit from relationships with universities, Schools Direct courses and assessment only routes into teaching (depending on your qualifications).
Roles can also include, if desired, supporting pupils with additional needs such Autism, Physical Disabilities, ADHD, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties, Language and Speech, Cerebral Palsy, PDA and attachment disorders.

To join us and be successful in these positions you will need to have:

* Experience of working with children or vulnerable adults
* Be available to work 0830-1530 at least twice a week
* Must have experience working with children or young adults.
* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
* Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
* You must have the legal right to work in the UK
