We are looking to appoint a dynamic Head of English to join this well run Stevenage based School on a permanent basis from September. The successful Teacher will have the scope and opportunity to lead a balanced and responsive English department and ensure the schools culture of excellence and innovation continues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, direct and coach the English team
• Develop and implement assessment plans and the curriculum
• Mentor and guide junior members of the team and host department meetings
• Liaise with SLT and keep communication up to Building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
• Ensuring the department meets academic standards and targets

Qualifications and Requirements:

• A proven track record of teaching pupils across key stages 3 and 4 in the UK
• A relevant teaching qualification
• Leadership and management skills
• The ability to bring your teaching to life and commit to student success
• Experience with curriculum development and assessment
• A willingness to be an active and positive member of the school community
