This pivotal role requires an individual with a proven track record in school finance management, ready to hit the ground running and tackle a significant 6-figure deficit. The successful candidate will be instrumental in turning around the financial situation and ensuring the academy's long-term financial stability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the academy's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and implement strategies to address and reduce the existing deficit effectively.
- Provide strategic financial guidance and support to senior leadership and the academy trust.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and academy trust policies.
- Lead and mentor the finance team to achieve departmental objectives and foster a culture of excellence.

Candidate Requirements:

- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
