Tradewind Recruitment is thrilled to announce a full-time post from Easter 2024 for a Head of RE at a High achieving school in Ealing, West London; the school also welcome applications from staff available from September 2024 due to current arrangements at the school. The school will interview interested applicants immediately and well within your current notice period should you be considering a September 2024 start.

As a result of the current Head of RE relocating at Easter 2024, the school are keen to recruit a suitable replacement as soon as possible. The school have made temporary provisions to cover the post for the rest of the academic year, however, would welcome those Head of RE/RE Teachers keen to commence from the Easter 2024 break.

The school are happy to consider CVs from existing Heads of RE or those looking to take progress in their career from the position of RE Teacher at present. The school love promoting those looking to further career and the support from the SLT will provide all the experience needed to make this step up a success.

A bit about the role;

  • The vacancy has arisen due to the current Head of RE relocating.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, delivering and assessing RE lessons to a high standard
  • Developing a curriculum that is engaging and challenging for all students
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to RE teaching

The ideal candidate will have:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience leading an RE department or solid teaching experience and looking for their first HOD role.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • A positive and proactive approach to teaching and learning.
  • Will be able to start from Easter/September 2024.

This is a full-time role with the opportunity for a permanent assignment from the beginning for the right applicant.
