Tradewind are currently recruiting for a hardworking and experienced EAL Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work in an Alternative Provision school in Burnley. The role is a temporary role starting 22^nd February 2021 until end of the academic year.

The secondary Alternative Provision is looking for someone to join their committed, passionate, and supportive team working 1-1 with a year 10 pupil with EAL and very challenging behaviour. The pupil's first language is Romanian and currently speaks broken English.

You will be required to work afternoons to support and deliver interventions with the pupil on a 1-2-1 basis. The pupil's interventions will mainly focus on comprehension.

The Alternative Provision is looking for a member of staff who is passionate about supporting children. The school is extremely welcoming, and the staff work effectively together and with other schools in the area.

The school is based in the Burnley area and has excellent motorway links and is easily accessible by public transport with a bus stop within a 5-minute walk from school.

To join us and be successful in this Teacher role you will need to:

• They provide a happy safe caring environment for pupils and staff.
• HLTA/ Degree qualification
• Experienced working with pupils with EAL
• Team Teach (not essential as training can be given)
• Knowledge and understanding working with a range of learning difficulties including moderate and severe learning difficulties, complex needs and autism
• This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure
• Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
• You must have the legal right to work in the UK
