About the school:

  • The provision has made big strides in improving the offering for young people. Pupils are happy, feel safe and are well supported in school.
  • Broad curriculum based on childrens' needs and interests including vocational learning.
  • There is a strong focus on helping children grow in confidence, understand how to manage their emotions and behaviours and therefore prepare them effectively for the world after secondary education whether that be moving on to college or apprenticeships.

About the pupils:

  • All pupils are at KS3 age however often working at lower than expected levels for their age.
  • They have a range of needs including SEMH, ADHD, ODD etc.
  • Pupils are all permanently excluded or at high risk of permanent exclusion from their mainstream.
