Tradewind are currently recruiting for a Teacher of Humanities on behalf of a Secondary School located in Greater Manchester.

This role will be to start in September 2020 and will be paying a salary of £24,373- £35,971 depending on experience.

The Role

The teacher appointed will be required to undertake all aspects of the role including marking and assessment. The school are seeking an individual who is a confident classroom practitioner who enjoys an academic focused teaching approach. You will need to have experience of working to KS3 and KS4 and will have worked on lessons in Geography, History and RE. You will need to have the ability to create a positive learning environment and progress students with their learning and targets for the subject.

Candidates will be responsible for;
* Planning and delivering of engaging lessons
* Assessment of pupils
* Report writing
* Direction of teaching assistants/learning support
* Classroom/Behaviour management in line with school policies and procedures

Requirements:
* Candidates must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) / QTLS or equivalent and have experience teaching in UK secondary schools.
* The school will consider applications from Newly Qualified Teachers.
* The school will commence interviews as soon as it is safe to do so.
* The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday between 8.15am and 3.45pm
* Successful candidates will be required to hold an enhanced DBS and be subject to safeguarding and vetting checks.
